A Delegacia de Polícia de Carazinho com apoio da DPPA e DPCA Carazinho, da DEFREC Passo Fundo, das Delegacias de Sarandi, Constantina e Não-Me-Toque, bem como da Brigada Militar, deflagrou a Operação Policial denominada ""OPERAÇÃO CUPINXAS"", com a finalidade de prender investigados pela prática de crimes de tráfico de drogas, homicídios e roubos.

Participaram da operação: Policiais 50 e um total de 15 viaturas.

Total de apreensões:
- 2 kg de cocaína
- 1 camioneta, blazer,
- 1 revólver, calibre .38, com numeração raspada,
- munição de diversos calibres
- espingarda, diversos telefones celulares, etc

Total de Prisões: 20 prisões, sendo 17 prisões preventivas, por crimes de homicídio, tráfico de drogas e roubos; uma prisão em flagrante por porte ilegal de arma de fogo com numeração raspada e a captura de dois foragidos.
